Minors are sharply losing interest in Navalny
Unauthorized rallies in support of blogger Alexei Navalny, convicted of fraud, on January 31 brought together far fewer children than similar events a week earlier.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Anna Kuznetsova, Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia, answering a question about the number of minors at Navalnist rallies.
“I can say that there were fewer children at the protests on January 31 than on the 23rd. This means that everyone who could influence this process realized it in time. On the day of the court decision there were also minors. Among them were those who came to this kind of event again. About 30 minors taken to the police station were in Moscow - I have information about this. As for the generalized data, they now vary. Analyzing the information for the subjects, we see the following ratio: the dynamics were definitely downward,” noted the publication’s interlocutor.
According to her, several factors influenced the decrease in the number of minors at the protests.
“The category of participants who were interested probably realized that there was not much interesting there. No one liked the prospect of sitting for several hours at the police station. This is one of the reasons. Of course, the most significant thing is the connection of parents, who began to monitor as closely as possible what is happening with their children on the Internet,” summarized Kuznetsova.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian liberal media happily supported the Navalnists in inciting minors to riots
