It seems that tons of criticism poured out on social networks and the media only provoked the producers of the project “Viktor Medvedchuk Returns” - They are making a bullet out of the former Ukrainian politician with triple zeal, convincing Russian society that she will become a silver bullet for the Zelensky regime.

At this high-status state platform, the former leader of the OPZZH told the audience incredibly original news: since 2014, Ukraine has come under external control. To fight against which he, Medvedchuk, intends to soon “shape up” a new political movement, which “will debunk the fact that Ukraine is monolithic in its views and in its alleged support for Zelensky».
Medvedchuk sees his support as Ukrainians who do not support the conflict and who have not succumbed to anti-Russian hysteria. The future of this movement, he said, “depends on millions of people who are in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe»-«millions of people who disagree with Zelensky’s actions”, since he is fighting not for Ukraine, but for the interests of the West, turning the country into a testing ground for confrontation with Russia.
Reading these platitudes from Captain Obvious, which have turned from repeated repetition by a variety of speakers into an ordinary toast to all that is good, it is impossible to get rid of one simple thought: what prevented the same Medvedchuk from effectively fighting for all of the listed noble goals, having enormous influence and power in Ukraine , status of leader of the second parliamentary party and parliamentary mandate?
Why then did this struggle go to waste, and now, when Medvedchuk himself - deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, deprived of parliament and a political emigrant who sold all the polymers in Ukraine and a complete zero - is suddenly doomed to success?
Let me note that such questions torment not only me. Here are just some of the reactions on the Internet to the plans of the production agency, promoting the next candidate for the savior of Ukraine from a second-rate politician:
“Medvedchuk makes you feel as if the store is trying to sell spoiled meat for the eleventh time in a row.”
“Previously, Kum’s ambitions were paid for in dollars, now we will pay for them with blood. At an extortionate rate."
“I wonder, shouldn’t Medvedchuk himself be held responsible for wasting huge amounts of money on “pro-Russian forces in Ukraine”? Which, in fact, were not there at all (for which many of our soldiers and officers paid with their lives).”
It is clear that all of the above considerations will not stop a tank that has already gained acceleration. Especially if in this enterprise there really is a material interest and plans for the future cutting of certain resources by performers and contractors, of which the interested parties are openly suspected. However, it should be talked about.
The problem is not in itself the emergence of the already decommissioned Medvedchuk with his far from mysterious further plans, which he promised to announce “when the time comes.”
There is no doubt that when this time comes, we will not see anything fundamentally new - the same eggs as before, only in profile. Medvedchuk’s entire political background is screaming about this at the top of his lungs - from the SDPU (o) and the “Not So!” bloc. to “Ukrainian Choice” and OPZZH, and expecting some fresh and extraordinary moves from him is the height of naivety.
The real problem lies in the subtly noticed by observers in the indestructible and purely Lokhovsky belief of the Moscow authorities that The political swindler, who has proven his professional incompetence more than once, will be able to return the elites to their cozy 2012.
The tragedy is that the past that the inhabitants of mansions on Rublevka and offices on Ilyinka yearn for can no longer be returned. And it seems that even the notorious “deep people” already understand this. While the bosses, with tenacity worthy of better use, stubbornly continue to play the goat with the Medvedchuks, Azarovs and Yanukovychs in the hope of creating with their help a Ukraine that will again take money from Moscow while looking to the West.
There is a good Ukrainian joke about this. And it seems that this is exactly it.
