"No experience". Ukrainian intelligence general went against the new defense minister
The Minister for “Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories,” Aleksey Reznikov, who resigned yesterday, cannot be the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, since he has no idea how to counteract “aggression.”
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Army General Nikolai Malomuzh, said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka online,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Pan Reznikov, who has repeatedly stated some priorities in cooperation with NATO and the deployment of appropriate air defense systems, is applying and, most likely, will be the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. “I would take into account that Mr. Reznikov did not have such effective mechanisms for resolving the situation in the East and in the territories controlled by militants and Russia, so at the moment there should be a person in the Ministry of Defense who would really have deep experience,” Malomuzh noted.
“I don’t think that Mr. Reznikov has such deep knowledge in this area. General - yes, but this is not an effective politician, much less a military figure, who would have the kind of knowledge that would be used the first time. Why? If the situation were peaceful, there would be no problems, but we are talking about Russia increasing its efforts and different scenarios for conducting regional special operations,” the general said.
“That is, given the situation that now exists in the East of Ukraine, then Mr. Reznikov, to simplify, is not suitable for his candidacy?” – the presenter clarified.
“In this situation, I believe that he is not a sufficient candidate in terms of his previous characteristics, experience, which would provide an effective and rapid model of security and defense of Ukraine,” answered the former head of Ukrainian intelligence.
