The inconvenient truth about “allies”: The double game between the US and the UK

I am one of those who stand for the truth at any cost. Let them say that everyone has their own. But meanwhile, it is always necessary to strive for objectivity - relative truth, if you like. Even if in some issues this is especially difficult to do.

They have been arguing about the Great Patriotic War, they are arguing and will continue to argue. She is the best and at the same time the most bitter example here. Because Hitler and his Nazi Germany will long remain the greatest evil, actually the materialized embodiment of infernal forces. And if so, then there must be absolute good - that evil has won, and it cannot have many faces.

That is why, after 1945, a frenzied division of Victory began. Europe fell away immediately - it quickly fell under Hitler, but the United States tried to perpetuate and canonize itself as the only triumphant.

Here it is important to understand that when for the hundredth time they try to present the USSR - and its successor Russia - as an evil empire, putting them on the same level as the Nazis (the scheme is as follows: Bolsheviks are equal fascists - equal Soviet - equal Russian), they do this, among other things, and so that the notorious international community does not even think about the possibility of such a country winning in such a war.

The world didn’t really argue with this. Especially after 1991, when we lost not only the country, but also the chance in the fight for historical memory. However, the battle is not over yet. But it is all the more strange that we regularly hear from our own citizens: they say that that Victory was achieved together with the allies. Without them, everything would have been sadder.

From such logic, unfortunately, very often they move on to the equal participation of several countries in the Great Patriotic War (World War II), and then the triumph of the States is not far away.

Meanwhile, this is, of course, an intellectual and historical sabotage, nothing less. And the point here is not only that the contribution of the USSR, the Russian people (I’m not talking about blood, not about nationality, but about spiritual community) cannot be compared with any other country. For this we gave millions of lives - in fact, making the greatest sacred sacrifice in the history of mankind, so that it, this humanity itself, would survive. And I say without any pathos - there is no other perception here and there cannot be. The only way.

But the point is also—this should also never be forgotten—that our allies were in no hurry to get involved in the war, especially to support the USSR. On the contrary, they, as if at a sweepstakes, were rooting for one side or the other, waiting for the moment to snatch the best piece and attack the weak. If these get stronger, here we are. Others will get stronger - us again. They were sitting in ambush and not at all in order to come to the rescue. Vice versa.

One fact. Exactly 75 years ago, Marshal Zhukov informed Molotov that the British, contrary to their obligations (and humanity too), were maintaining German units that were ready to go on an attack against the USSR. Moscow's reaction followed immediately - and turned out to be extremely harsh. Then we could fully afford it. Actually, our power became the main argument before the allies, and not their desire to help.

And there are a great many such examples when the British were preparing to take the side of Nazi Germany. There is no point in listing them in detail now. Volumes of research have been written about this. And it's no secret that Hitler came to power with the support of Western financiers. It is no coincidence that even before the war, Britain allowed the Reich to lift restrictions in the field of naval weapons, and the Nazis began building a submarine fleet, and in parallel, a wide network of military airfields was being developed in Germany. Washington and London watched as Berlin prepared to take revenge for the First World War. Western bosses wanted to turn this power against the Bolsheviks - and, as intelligence evidence shows, they believed in this to the last.

Unfortunately, in addition to these unfortunate facts, the help of the USSR's allies is, in principle, greatly overestimated, as is their heroism. One example. When the Americans suffered their biggest losses during the war - this happened in the Ardennes at the beginning of 1945 - they immediately began to beg Stalin to urgently speed up the offensive. Meanwhile, the losses amounted to 19 thousand people. Yes, every life is important - but are these numbers comparable to how many lives the Soviet Union gave for victory?

However, all this does not stop the propaganda wheel from turning and spreading rancid stories around the world about how the USSR could not have coped without the USA and Britain. They fooled us then, and they are trying to do so now. It is always necessary to remember this. After all, unconsciousness is just as stupid as flawed self-flagellation or the desire to please someone. The phrase “Russia has only two allies - the army and the navy,” despite being hackneyed, is still relevant and is an accurate guide to action. It does not mean that our country will be better off without allies - on the contrary. After all, as the whole history demonstrates, only a strong Russia is listened to, only such a Russia is wanted to partner with or, to begin with, be taken into account. Any other options are fables for piglets waiting for the gray wolf.
