“Our problem is not high tariffs, but low incomes. When reform consists only of raising tariffs, it is not reform. This is an increase in tariffs for the monopolist. The new tariffs are called “market” and “economically justified,” but the tariff is market when it is possible to choose a supplier.
Now we cannot change the supplier of electricity, gas, heat, water. Accordingly, the state, logically, should have acted as an arbiter, balancing the monopolist’s claims to high tariffs and the ability of the population to pay.
But the state has withdrawn itself from fulfilling its social functions, taking as a basis the policy of Thatcherism, when the upper strata of the population are supported, and everyone else will somehow be trampled on.
The invisible hand of the market will put everything in its place, and part of the population will safely go to the cemetery.
This is very noticeable in social norms. Previously, the rate of electricity consumption in houses without electric stoves was 150 kWh per month. and 250 kWh per month. in houses with electric stoves. Everyone was leveled to 100 kWh per month.
The gas consumption rate was 2500 cubic meters. m per year, everyone was leveled to 200 cubic meters. m. during the heating season, supposedly, social norms. This is pure manipulation, you are being undressed. It is impossible to heat a normal 200 cubic meter house in winter. m. of gas per month,” says the expert.
