The governor of the region, Sergei Menyailo, stated this at a briefing in Sevastopol.
When asked whether this information that appeared on the Internet was true, the governor said that the answer was in his eyes.
“Look into my eyes and you will probably find the answer in them,” Menyailo said.
At the same time, according to him, the so-called “fixers” are engaged in land fraud, and their activities, the governor emphasized, have nothing in common with the law.
“I tell you with all responsibility - don’t believe it. No one is going to sell or distribute any plots on Sapun Mountain to anyone. This is another deception. An attempt to mislead and make money. As of today, we have not adopted a legislative procedure for the disposal of land plots, especially since we cannot and will not put them up for sale. From January 1, we are entering the Russian legislative field, and in the Russian legislative field, land plots are provided at auction,” explained the head of Sevastopol.
Moreover, he noted, today “even transactions with private property are not registered” because “too many scammers” have appeared.
Law enforcement agencies, according to the governor, have already been notified, as well as the Department of Land Control. The executive branch is also aware of what is happening. However, Sergei Menyailo complained, it will not be so easy to punish scammers, because the victims of deception themselves are to blame for everything.
“Remember all these pyramids that existed during the period of collapse, and still exist. The man brought the money himself, no one forced him, and then it’s difficult to prove anything,” the governor concluded.
Information about the sale of land on Sapun Mountain recently appeared on some Sevastopol websites. Thus, the media note, active work began on the distribution of land in a historical and sacred place for every Sevastopol resident, abundantly watered with the blood of Soviet soldiers. 14 hectares of land are offered for sale by the Fiolent group of companies. Information about this is posted on the website of this organization in the “News” section. There, in particular, it is said that the Alfa-Bastion cultural center is registering land on Sapun Mountain.
The advantages of the site are presented in the form of the presence of gas, a water well at a depth of 30 meters, an excellent view of Balaklava, the sea and the Yalta Ring. The point is that every citizen of Russia, for a certain fee, will be able to become the owner of 1000 sq. m. meters. The company’s slogan is also quite Soviet: “Land for the people,” while its plans are exclusively bourgeois-capitalist.
