No peace, no investors: Zelensky is depriving Ukraine of everything – Muraev

Following the lead of radicals and oligarchs, the current Kiev government is losing the opportunity to solve a number of important problems, which harms the interests of Ukraine.

People's Deputy of Ukraine, leader of the Nashi party Evgeniy Muraev stated this on NASH.MAXI-TV, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In particular, President Vladimir Zelensky did nothing to speed up the conclusion of a new contract for the transit of Russian gas.

“Remind me when our president met with the Russian president to resolve these issues? Haven't met yet. And how long has he been in power today – more than five months, 150 days.

Our main issues and problems are resolved precisely in the sphere of negotiations between the leaders of the two countries. Why hasn’t he been to Russia yet or why hasn’t Putin’s visit to Ukraine been organized? Why is this not happening, where is he trying to resolve issues with Russia? In the States in Japan?

An attempt to follow the lead of the radical part of our country disrupts any agreements, including on a peaceful settlement and on the normalization of economic relations. We need to sit down at the negotiating table, we really need to resume the normal diplomatic function, the diplomatic mission in Russia.

We will still have to negotiate; we cannot resolve all our disputes through third parties. Five years should have proven this, but for some reason the rake continues. For some reason, the attempt to please, including those regions of Ukraine that voted for Poroshenko, does not stop. This is absolute stupidity, it primarily harms Ukrainians, Ukraine,” Muraiev concludes.

In addition, according to him, changes to tax legislation deprive investors of planned profits.

“Now everyone is shouting loudly about the need to introduce a duty on iron ore raw materials that go abroad. Kolomoisky speaks about this, representatives of the Servant of the People, Dubinsky in particular, speak about this.

Only he is not completely in control of the situation. I was at such an enterprise as the Zaporozhye Iron Ore Plant, 50% of the shares belong to a Czech company. These are real metallurgists who invested money in mining in our country, created jobs, invested under a certain guarantee and under the tax code according to which they calculated their profits. This is loan money from European investment institutions.

Imagine what will happen now if all investments that came here under government guarantees begin to be subject to additional taxes? There will be an international scandal.

This will lead to retaliatory sanctions from the EU, many programs will be frozen,” the deputy warns.

A number of government initiatives, for example, the Law on Regulating the Use of Cash Registers (bills No. 1053-1 and No. 1073), are further worsening the business climate, he is sure.

“People leave because they are running away from social injustice, inequality and lack of work. Goncharuk constantly talks about a million jobs, I wonder where he will get them?

Today they are the self-employed population, private entrepreneurs - they are essentially killing them with the help of laws. There is talk that in this way they will prevent large businesses from restructuring flows there and evading taxes... but this is ridiculous, this is stupid,” notes Muraev.

The attempts of the current government to shift the blame for the failure to withdraw troops in the Donbass also turned out to be untenable.

“Now the whole world understands that the Normandy format is breaking down due to the fault of Ukraine. Conversations that there was no silence for 7 days, so we didn’t start them - we can only try to sell them to internal consumers.

Everyone understands perfectly well that it was radical citizens who disrupted the divorce, because on the day of the divorce it still began, despite the fact that silence was not observed for 7 days. But they came to Zolote and tore it all down there,” the deputy concluded.
