“The people have the absolute right to separate themselves from a totalitarian state when it threatens and kills the population, as it did in Kosovo,” says the playwright-philosopher. – Serbia was a dictatorship where Kosovars were killed. Ukraine is a democracy. Not a single resident of Donetsk, Kramatorsk or Lugansk can complain that he was oppressed. Donbass is not Kosovo, and Ukraine is not Serbia.”

It should be recalled that on February 9, 2014, Levy made a speech on the Euromaidan stage, which was published on February 10 by the Le Monde newspaper under the heading “We are all Ukrainians.”

In February 2015, after visiting Donbass in company with Petro Poroshenko, he said that Western countries should provide Ukraine with modern weapons in response to the actions of the pro-Russian militia in Debaltsevo.
