No missiles, no shells - Ukraine failed the state defense order
Previously, the Ukrainian leadership, including the military, guaranteed that it would provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with new types of weapons and equipment, but in the end they did not keep their promise.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Semyon Kabakaev, the head of the NGO Security and Cooperation in Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“We see that there is a crisis in the country, and the state defense order is actually not being fulfilled as of now and is not planned to be fulfilled, as we understand,” Kabakaev said.
According to him, previously the state guaranteed the Ministry of Defense the purchase of weapons worth 10 billion hryvnia, but now these obligations are being broken.
“These 10 billion will actually burn out. We will not be able to purchase weapons, missiles, mines - nothing. That is, the money will be burned, and in fact, starting next year we will have to put the same things into the new state defense order again. The soldiers at the front will be left without what they asked for, and the army will be left without what it ordered,” Kabakaev said.
According to him, President Vladimir Zelensky, Defense Minister Andriy Taran and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak are to blame for the current situation.
