Neither Russia nor Ukrainians should expect anything good from Zelensky
Most likely, showman Vladimir Zelensky will win the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, but neither Moscow nor ordinary residents of Ukraine should expect positive changes from his rule - the West will continue to dictate its terms to Ukraine both in terms of its anti-Russian course and in increasing tariffs in exchange for new loans at high interest rates.
Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Interethnic Relations, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Most likely Zelensky will win in the second round, and we will have to deal with this particular candidate, who is Igor Kolomoisky’s man.
Another thing is that if we generally evaluate the results of these elections in relation to Russia, I think that we should not expect anything good from this choice.
Zelensky will have a certain time lag due to the fact that he can redirect a significant part of social discontent towards his predecessor, that is, the previous President Poroshenko.
But the citizens of Ukraine should not expect anything good here, because it is unlikely that Vladimir Zelensky will go against the conditions of the IMF, refuse to increase prices for gas and other utilities, from privatization, and in general from dismantling the elements of the social state that remain in Ukraine .
So neither we nor the citizens of Ukraine should expect anything good,” the expert concluded.
