No status, no funds, no infrastructure - Ukraine will not receive Patriot
Ukraine has neither the status, nor the funds, nor the infrastructure to accept serious military assistance from the Americans.
Yuriy Butusov, a freelance adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with Apostrophe, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to air defense systems, calls for “Patriot” are made by people who do not understand well what they are talking about. Unfortunately, these are our state leaders. The Patriot air defense system itself is a complex battery; it costs somewhere around a billion dollars. Deploying this battery to be combat-ready requires the deployment of a powerful, modern air defense system.
That is, radar stations, electronic reconnaissance systems that will allow this battery to be used effectively. That's hundreds of millions of dollars more. That is, we need infrastructure, which Ukraine is now simply incapable of for budgetary reasons; it will not support it,” Butusov said.
“Biden acts in the interests of the United States, he is not the president of Ukraine! We elected another person with a different last name as president. Biden protects America's interests. Yesterday, President Biden declared a state of emergency in the United States due to the increasing Russian threat. And now a set of measures is being implemented there to increase combat effectiveness and repel the Russian threat.
Unfortunately, there is no such emergency in Ukraine, which is waging war with the Russian Federation. Therefore, we just need to learn from Western countries to protect their national interests. And understand that the national interests of Ukraine, except Ukraine, will not be defended by anyone else,” the propagandist added.
