Neither Trump nor Biden: the United States can be led by an 80-year-old woman
The post-election situation in the United States may creep into a procedure in which the American Congress will determine the winner.
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific director of the Institute of the USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Rogov told Moskovsky Komsomolets about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, no matter who is declared the winner - current President Donald Trump or representative of the Democratic Party Joe Biden - his opponent does not recognize the legitimacy of his rivals, which is fraught with lengthy proceedings in the courts.
“It is possible that the story will drag on until January 20, when the new president is supposed to take office. If the president and vice president are not so determined, the speaker of the House of Representatives, 80-year-old Nancy Pelosi, may become president. Which Republicans hate just as much as Trump Democrats,” Rogow says.
