“While catching grass carp, silver carp and carp for sale, the head of the Kalinovsky fish farm, Vasily Kushnir, left the peasants without water. For several weeks now, people have not been able to get even half a bucket of water from their wells. Every year, local tenants block the bed of the Snivoda River and carry out industrial fishing. This year the discharge became fatal,” said local resident Galina Kukhar.

Due to the abnormally dry summer, water has receded even from the two nearby lakes. People complain that if a fire occurs in Shepeevka, rescuers will not even have a place to get water from.

People are already writing statements to the environmental inspectorate and the prosecutor's office regarding the situation.
