"Nothing changes. We will act tough"
The release of the captain of the Kerch ship “Nord” from Ukrainian captivity will not become a reason for Russia to take revenge for the provocation now that all the hostages are safe.
Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Idiots take revenge. Russia is doing what is necessary from the point of view of ensuring its national interests. All decisions have been made and will be strictly implemented. Any attempts to break through Ukrainian ships in violation of the established order will be suppressed. Border violators will be detained. The Russian Federation’s national security system operates in this region,” Korotchenko said.
He emphasized that both before and after the Nord incident, Russia acted in the Sea of Azov in accordance with international law.
“The policy doesn't change. Any attempts by Ukraine to violate the current regime or military provocations will be suppressed. Nothing changes,” Korotchenko said.
