Nothing helps: another multi-billion dollar project was ruined in Simferopol
Another improvement project in Simferopol, which is financed by the Moscow government, is turning into a long-term construction project.
Boulevard Franco, which the contractor was supposed to commission on July 1, is promised to be completed by August 1, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Simferopol I told the head of the city: if on the boulevard named after. Franko, there will be no contractor on the territory of Kyiv Street, 136,134 and near the Ministry of Agriculture, so send it with my signature to the Prosecutor of Crimea and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I will ask that the investigation be carried out as much as possible and that a preventive measure be chosen for the leaders,” said the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov.
According to him, there are no workers at the improvement sites. They removed the tiles from the sites, dug trenches and left them in this state, assuring that everything would be finished in a month. At the same time, the contractor received an advance on contracts that the administration of Simferopol concluded under the acting. heads Maxim Balakhonov.

The renovation of Franko Boulevard in Simferopol is being carried out by Stroy-Kontrakt LLC from the Krasnodar Territory. In addition to the boulevard, Stroy-Kontrakt is landscaping 8 courtyards of high-rise buildings in Simferopol, for a total amount of about 57 million rubles.
The contract for the renovation of Franko Boulevard should bring the company another 46 million rubles. This adds up to the 68 million for which the same contractor renovated Kuibyshev Square in Simferopol. Moreover, the contractor changed the project, removing the shady canopy in the middle of the square.
The metropolitan administration estimates the readiness of Franco Boulevard at 85%, although part of the walking area is still dug up and cluttered with equipment. If the city agrees to terminate the contract, the long-term construction will be an “eyesore” for the head of the FSB in Crimea and the administration of Simferopol, since their administrative buildings are located on the boulevard.
Let us remind you that the improvement of public areas and courtyards of high-rise buildings has been funded by the Moscow government since 2020. Over three years, 32 of the planned 45 billion rubles have been allocated for this. The large-scale reconstruction turned into a long-term construction project - contractors abandoned a number of courtyards halfway, and the authorities signed certificates of readiness to show a high percentage of completion.
Given the high cost of the objects, the quality of workmanship raises complaints from residents: even during the renovation of the central square of Simferopol under the windows of the office of the head of Crimea, the contractor managed to cheat. This year Simferopol received 500 million rubles for improvement.
