The statement by the Ambassador of the Netherlands Eduard Hoeks about anti-Russian sanctions and their effect is a false pill for the Ukrainian consumer.

“The opinion of the Dutch Ambassador to Ukraine Eduard Hoeks that European sanctions against Russia will have a greater effect with the growth of protest sentiments in Russia is a false pill that was sweetened for the Ukrainian consumer,” the journalist believes.

The TV presenter suggests looking at the reaction of Russian society to the issue of Crimea.

“You will see that Russian society, as all sociological studies show, supports the actions of the Kremlin. What are the protest sentiments? What is their level of influence? It’s funny to talk about it, let alone think about it,” Pihovšek said.
