“A tribunal established by decision of the UN Security Council would be the best option,” the agency’s interlocutor noted. “We believe that this will be the best basis for cooperation among all interested parties.”
At the same time, this issue is still only at the stage of preliminary discussion, since international experts have not yet completed the investigation into the causes of the disaster and have not named those responsible for the tragedy. The first problem - studying the causes of the disaster - is being dealt with by the Dutch Safety Council, clarifies "NG". The organization plans to publish the final report no earlier than October. The second problem - the investigation to determine those responsible for the plane crash - is being handled by the Dutch prosecutor's office with the assistance of international experts. How soon the investigators will complete their work remains completely unclear.
