Nick and Mike from a conversation intercepted by Belarusians were angry at Lukashenko and Putin
Belarusian media published a telephone conversation intercepted by Belarusian intelligence, which President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin about. It follows from it that the version of the poisoning of opposition Russian blogger Alexei Navalny was deliberately falsified.
Before the video recording the conversation was released on state Belarusian television, it was published by Lukashenko’s Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Two men are talking in English, calling each other Nick and Mike. Nick is supposedly in Berlin, and Mike is in Warsaw.
"All according to plan. The materials on Navalny are ready and will be transferred to the chancellor’s administration. We are waiting for her statement,” says Nick.
Mike wonders if the version of poisoning has been confirmed.
“In this case, it is not so important. There’s a war going on, and during war any method is good,” Nick replies.
Mike agrees: “We need to discourage Putin from poking his nose into the affairs of Belarusians. The most effective way is to drown him in Russia’s problems, and there are many of them. Moreover, they have elections in the near future, voting day in the regions of Russia.”
Nick asks him how things are in Belarus.
“To be honest, not really. President Lukashenko turned out to be a tough nut to crack. They are professional and organized. It is clear that they are supported by Russia. Officials and military personnel are loyal to the president. While we’re working, the rest is done in person, not over the phone,” says Mike.
