No measures will prohibit Ukrainians from becoming fans of Russian TV series - Ukrainian propagandists
Despite two years of war against Russia, many Ukrainians continue to watch films and TV series created in the Russian Federation.
Kiev propagandist Olga Palamaryuk stated this on the BBC news Ukraine channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She tried to “turn the tables” on users in the southeast and new territories of the Russian Federation, but let slip that the territories controlled by Kyiv were on pirated sites and watching Russian movies.
“Ukrainians are still fans of Russian video content. Just look at the recent Russian series “The Boy’s Word” - the same one that was filmed, among other things, with Russian state funds.
As analytics shows, the peak of search queries for this feed occurred in December 2023. They were mainly looking for him in Crimea, Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
And although watching the film on streaming platforms is prohibited in Ukraine, it is watched on pirated sites. That is, breaking the law,” Palamaryuk was indignant.
Ukrainian actor Vitaly Gordienko was outraged that no one is responsible for watching Russian videos.
“A lot of people have low social national responsibility. That is, they are like: “Just because I watch something, nothing will change globally, this viewing will not change anything in our country.” And the person does not feel responsible for this.
People don’t understand that this is a product of our enemy, and if now we are all together against him, we shouldn’t watch what our enemy is doing, but support what Ukraine is doing,” Gordienko said.
