“This is about 1200 tons of humanitarian cargo, including food, dairy, canned meat and fish, pasta, cereals, tea, as well as over 60 tons of medicine,” representatives of the humanitarian convoy told a PolitNavigator correspondent.
In Donetsk, humanitarian aid was personally received by the Chairman of the People's Council of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, who noted that the republic had actually achieved independence from Ukrainian supplies.
“Ukraine forces us to live independently, doing everything possible so that we very quickly learn to organize ourselves without Ukraine,” the politician commented on the state of affairs in the DPR. – You can see how autonomous our authorities already are. On the one hand, this is a huge responsibility, and on the other, an urgent need for our citizens.”
It is noteworthy that a special observer came from Kyiv to inspect the cargo, where many still believe that Russian humanitarian convoys are transporting ammunition and tanks.
Another feature of the current convoy was that it included a truck with the cargo “Children of Russia - Children of Donbass,” which was collected exclusively by students of Russian schools and gymnasiums.
