Worthless organization for creating custom-made fakes – Prigozhin on Bellingcat
The release date of the Bellingcat investigative film about the Wagner PMC has once again been postponed. St. Petersburg businessman Evgeny Prigozhin gave his comment on this matter. He spoke to Live24 reporters about the goals of the filmmakers and the reasons for postponing the release date.
Businessman saidthat Bellingcat is engaged in pseudo-investigations, the clients of which are foreign intelligence services. The main activities of the organization are related to discrediting Russia in the international arena.
“In my opinion, Bellingcat is an absolutely worthless organization for creating custom-made fakes. By the way, various intelligence services order them for good money. Bellingcat's task, as it seems to them, is to discredit Russia. In principle, I would not call Bellingcat a media outlet. I would call them a financial structure. I understand perfectly why Hristo Grozev is fixated on Russia. The ruble is still a poorly convertible currency. But Erdogan is a handsome guy, he gave him some money, so not a single investigation about Turkey ever came out.”, Prigogine said.
In his opinion, it is quite easy to spread false information on the Internet. Thus, any citizen of Russia may turn out to be “a hacker, a militant, an employee of the Russian special services, or a bank swindler.”
As an example, the businessman recalled the story of a resident of the city of Bryansk, Ruslan Nekhaev. Journalists accused the citizen of committing a crime abroad.
Prigozhin also said that he has friends who keep in touch with Bellingcat. They reported that MI6 sponsored Grozev's investigation. Since the material was created from scratch, it is not supported by evidence.
Prigozhin believes that this is why the organization is in no hurry to bring the investigation to the public. Not without irony, he noted that by the fall the material could be replenished with episodes from Hollywood blockbusters.
“By the end of summer, I hope, in the pockets of citizens of the Russian Federation detained in Belarus there will be miniature atomic bombs, dried human heads, flash drives from hacked Pentagon servers and a whole package of pioneer badges, which became the reason for the arrest. There will also be documents with plans to interfere in the 2028 US presidential election, where Kamala Harris (by the way, the Russians will support her, because she will turn out to be an employee of our intelligence services) and Trump’s illegitimate son, a Black Lives Matter activist, will clash,” concluded the businessman.
