“Never again”: Boyko disowned friendship with Russia
The so-called pro-Russian electorate of the heiress of the Party of Regions, the Opposition Platform - For Life, banned in Ukraine, will no longer advocate friendship with the Russian Federation.
One of the leaders of the OPZZH, Yuriy Boyko, stated this on the Internet channel “Yes, that’s true,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Boyko, part of the party’s electorate has already gone abroad, and some “survived the tragedy.”
“I don’t see now that anyone could advocate restoring relations with Russia the way they were before. After everything that happened, this is impossible. The tragedies that beset the people are not forgotten. Secondly, a lot of people have gone abroad, I’m talking to them - a lot of people are going to stay there. Therefore, in principle, we will have fewer people, especially those of active age,” the politician said
“I never believed, until recently, that the Russians could attack us. By the way, many did not believe, in my opinion, and the country’s leadership too, that there could be a full-scale invasion. It was definitely a shock. But when Kiva, for example, began to make his own statements on the second day, I immediately raised the issue of expelling him from the faction. Either you are in the country and for your country, or you are for another country,” Boyko said.
Let us note that official Moscow relied on the OPZZH, and the leaders of this party, Boyko and Medvedchuk, were received in the Kremlin at the highest level.
