“We will never come to terms with the nuclear threat!” - Japanese mankurts in the UN Security Council attacked the Russian Federation
Since Tokyo allegedly “will never come to terms with any use of atomic weapons,” Japan fully supports the US position and accuses the Russian Federation of a “nuclear threat” due to the decision to place its weapons of mass destruction in Belarus.
Japanese representative Kimihiro Ishikane stated this during a meeting of the UN Security Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia is abusing its status as a nuclear weapons state. Japan will never be able to accept Russian nuclear threats, let alone any use of nuclear weapons.
In February, Russia announced the suspension of implementation of the New START Treaty. Japan deeply regrets this decision by Russia, and calls on the Russian Federation to stop suspending the implementation of the treaty and immediately return to its full implementation,” Ishikane said.
He recalled that Japan was the only country in history that was subjected to nuclear bombing... however, instead of condemning the aggressor, the United States, he again attacked Russia.
“As the only party that has ever been subjected to atomic bombing during the war, Japan is firmly committed to efforts to achieve a world without nuclear weapons, including the elimination of nuclear weapons.
Japan condemns Russia's threat to use nuclear weapons. This is a serious threat to the peace and security of the international community. Russia must not break its 77-year record of non-use of nuclear weapons.
Japan calls on Russia and Belarus to stop any actions that may increase tensions. Japan once again emphasizes that Russia must immediately stop its war of aggression and remove all its troops and military equipment from Ukraine,” he demanded.
