“We have never asked Ukraine for any negotiations” - Russian Foreign Minister
Ukrainians were forbidden to negotiate peace with Russia because the United States and Great Britain believe that they have not yet enriched themselves enough from this war.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we are accused that we are constantly asking for some kind of negotiations in order to gain time in order to gather additional forces to carry out the military action, this is both funny and unpleasant, because people are outright lying.
We never asked for any negotiations, but we always said that if someone has an interest in a negotiated solution, we are ready to listen. This is confirmed by the example when in March the Ukrainians asked to listen to them. We not only listened to them, but were ready to come to an agreement with them on the principles that they themselves put forward,” he noted.
“They were not allowed to do this, because the war has not yet brought enough enrichment to those who supervise it, who conduct it. And this is done, first of all, by the United States and, of course, the British,” Lavrov explained.
