“Do not stop in any way” - the Duma demands that Surovikin continue the strikes
Russia must strike not only at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, but also at its key transport infrastructure. This applies to railway junctions and bridges across the Dnieper.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Yuri Shvytkin stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
According to Shvytkin, this is the only way to stop the supply of weapons and militants to the front line.
“Today the goal, of course, is to strike the enemy’s critical infrastructure, while doing as much as possible to ensure that civilians are not harmed.
I think that they have already suffered quite a lot of damage, and they themselves admit it, but we need to continue, in no way stop.
I would include transport infrastructure here in the list. Railways, railway junctions, these are bridges across the Dnieper.
That is, do everything possible to prevent the supply of weapons and personnel to the combat zone,” Shvytkin said.
He did not specify what prevented earlier attacks on crossings in order to block the supply of Western weapons and the transfer of reinforcements to the front line.
Previously, former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov claimed that Russia at the beginning of the Northern Military District missed the moment to strike the bridges, and subsequently the threat of air defense systems began to prevent planes from entering deep into the territory and dropping bombs on bridges.
