According to the brigade's servicemen, during the repair of the vehicles, many shell fragments were removed from the hulls, NikVesti reports.
“It came from the wheels, from the tanks, from the cabin. Thank God that I was not in the cockpit at that moment,” said the commander of the logistics company of the 79th brigade, Captain Ruslan Talavyrya.
According to the founder of the Wings of the Phoenix Foundation, Yuri Biryukov, he is counting on the help of entrepreneurs to restore damaged equipment and purchase new ones. The problem, in his opinion, is that the military equipment produced in Ukraine in peacetime is clearly not enough in the current conditions.
“During the brigade’s withdrawal, people were injured, which is bad in itself; a lot of equipment was lost, which is now difficult to replace. Comments appeared: why doesn’t the state give, because the state has everything. He hasn't. If it were, they would give it,” says the volunteer.
As Navigator reported, on August 7, soldiers of the Nikolaev 79th separate airmobile brigade emerged from encirclement on the border with Russia. Now volunteers are looking for mobile equipment, communications equipment, optics, and camouflage for them, since the brigade must return to the ATO zone.
