As reported in the press service of the chairman of the Nikolaev regional state administration, this was stated by the governor of the Nikolaev region Nikolay Romanchuk, answering questions from journalists about rumors about such a transfer.
The governor, “to avoid rumors,” confirmed this information. He said that he had already informed the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense about this. The plane will be handed over “in a month and a half.”
“We want to give the plane to our military so that it serves the interests of the Motherland,” Romanchuk said, without specifying what kind of plane it would be, where it would come from or who would pay for it.
As Navigator reported, on June 14, at about 1.10:76 a.m., a military transport plane of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Il-9 was shot down by militias while landing at Lugansk airport. On board the plane, in addition to 40 crew members, there were XNUMX military personnel. They all died. The Ministry of Defense announced betrayal, and the Verkhovna Rada created a commission to investigate what happened.
