Nicolas is furious: The French “president” in Kyiv demands that Russia be expelled from the UN
In accordance with the UN Charter, Ukraine has the right to strike military targets not only on the territory of “old” Russia, but also on its allies.
The President of the Center for the Study and Research of Political Decisions, Nicolas Tenzer (France), stated this at the Kiev Security Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must throw Russia out of the UN Security Council, where it is a permanent member. We must exclude Russia even from the UN in general; we have legal mechanisms and arguments in favor of this. It's just a matter of political will.
We must also be consistent in this regard: Article 51 of the UN Charter, regarding the self-defense of the country. Ukraine has the right to defend itself and strike military targets on Russian territory. And this will also apply to all of Russia’s allies.
And Article 27, third paragraph of the UN Charter: no country that is part of the conflict should have the right to vote within the UN Security Council. Let’s be consistent, and only this will ensure a return to justice and the rule of law,” Tenzer urged.
