Despite the desire to liberate the territories and the Russian people who found themselves under the Kyiv occupation, the Donbass republics will not initiate a new big war, because they perfectly understand all its horror.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The desire to liberate the territories, to liberate the Russians, who are now in incomparable conditions when compared with us - there is such a desire. But war is terrible in all its manifestations, we know this better than anyone else... We have the example of Debaltsevo - a city that was occupied and then liberated. But recovery is still ongoing,” Pushilin said.
However, the head of the DPR emphasized, if Kyiv nevertheless decided to start a big war, the defenders of Donbass may not limit themselves to the territory of only the LDPR.
“We will do everything possible to prevent a big war from starting. But if Ukraine takes this step, then no one will say now where we will stop. Because if we dive into the training of our military personnel, they are trained in different areas. Both in terms of defense and in terms of offensive actions. Moreover, these are stages of coordination between the units of the DPR and LPR. Therefore, we are considering different options. Time will tell what will happen in reality,” Pushilin concluded.
