NM LPR: Contract soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuse to serve, fearing war with Russia

“The command of the 30th mechanized brigade, which is short-staffed at about 40%, in addition to the work of selecting citizens for military service under contract in military registration and enlistment offices located in the depths of the country, sent its recruitment groups with a propaganda program to settlements in the Joint Forces Operation zone,” they wrote in the department.
In addition, new contract soldiers do not join the Armed Forces of Ukraine for fear of entering into battle with the Russian army. Even the last step - the recruitment of contract soldiers in the Donbass - did not bear fruit.
“But, despite efforts, even previously selected people refuse to serve, fearing war with Russia,” the department concluded.
