Russia's three opposition parliamentary parties must merge into one to oppose United Russia. This initiative was made by the leader of the LDPR, the party’s official website reports.
“Here we, the opposition parties of Russia, introduce and introduce bills and complain that United Russia does not pass them. And if there are two parties of equal size, such a blockade will be impossible. Let's unite 3 parliamentary opposition parties. And as long as we remain dwarf parties, we will not be able to change anything,” emphasized Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
His proposal was readily supported by the leader of A Just Russia, Sergei Mironov.
“I really like, I won’t hide, the arguments about the need to transition to a two-party system, I really like it when Vladimir Volfovich says that one party should be social democratic. I think that in the fall you will all see the first results of the work to create a powerful enlarged party,” Mironov said.
