At night, “Putin’s purge” took place throughout Ukraine
The headquarters of Petro Poroshenko had to remove billboards with the image of Vladimir Putin that had been hung the day before from the streets of Ukraine. The billboards were replaced with similar ones in style, but without a photograph of the Russian president, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why did you turn back, fraer?” – ex-Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash sarcastically commented on the actions of Poroshenko’s staff.
“Putin has disappeared. And they remained on banners One and Two. Saggy. Swollen. Double chin. King became a Shar Pei. I really like this ad. I have always said that a partisan group of hairdressers, dressmakers and PR people is operating in the rear,” Lukash points out that an extremely unsuccessful photo of Poroshenko was used for advertising.
As PolitNavigator reported, posters depicting Poroshenko confronting Putin (which refers to election rival Vladimir Zelensky) caused a scandal in Ukraine. Firstly, they violated the election law, which prohibits placing foreigners at election campaign sites, and even without their consent.
In addition, nationalists were outraged that Poroshenko unwittingly popularized the Russian leader by posting his photographs throughout the cities of Ukraine.
In addition, billboards with Putin have become the object of ridicule and photoshopped images.
