“My feet won’t be there”: Django criticized Urgant and swore off going to his programs
For Russians, including show business stars, the moment of truth has come when they must decide whether they support their state or renounce it.
The popular Russian musician, native of Kyiv, Alexey Poddubny, better known as “Django,” said this on the air of the “May DPR” video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Poddubny criticized the famous Russian TV presenter Ivan Urgant, who left Russia with the start of a special operation in Ukraine.
“It seems to me that now such a very serious moment is coming - we are moving on to realizing the truth uncompromisingly. Look, those people who renounced Russia, they have become completely obvious and obvious. And the people are already demanding in their depths, demanding: “Guys, why do we need these traitors?” We used to coo with them. Me too, look, I would like to go to, say, Vanya Urgant’s program in order to popularize my project and so on.
This was six months ago, I quite felt such desires. Now, even if he returned, I simply would not set foot there - I said, we will no longer enter into any compromises. We must, with the awareness of our rightness, understand what we are doing. Ultimately, even if they drive me under the plinth, I’d rather tell myself: “This is my choice. And I will answer for him better than I will renounce him,” Poddubny said.
