The Norwegian press began to tell the truth about the self-determination of Crimeans

More and more European politicians and journalists, who previously held Russophobic sentiments, are beginning to change their minds and advocate for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.

Hendrik Weber, a member of the land parliament of the commune of Alver, the head of the public organization “Public Diplomacy – Norway”, stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There will always be people who know history and know what happened in 2013-2014 in Ukraine, Crimea and Donbass, but this is a minority of journalists. The majority in Norway support the Ukrainian side. However, many journalists and politicians are changing their minds and talking about lifting the sanctions because they do not bring anything good for the Russians and Norwegians.

Over the past couple of years, the situation has begun to change and more and more people have begun to understand what was really happening. Of course, it will take some time before we can convince the majority of the truth.

The most important thing is that the Norwegian and Scandinavian press began to write positive materials about Crimea, and I am sure that the truth will come out, but it needs to be pushed,” Weber concluded.
