Statoil began supplying gas to Ukraine in October 2014 after the opening of the Slovak reverse route. As a result, the company has become one of the largest exporters of fuel to Ukraine. Since November last year, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has stopped purchasing gas from Statoil due to high prices.
