Following today's attack by Ukrainian attack helicopters on an oil depot in Belgorod, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to launch a missile strike on this city.

As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, a missile was allegedly launched from the Tochka-U complex.

Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots notes in his blog that the missile was shot down by air defense systems:

“A shell fired from Ukraine fell in the village of Nikolskoye, Belgorod region, there were no casualties or destruction.”

Kots also notes that an attack on a Russian city is a reason to attract CSTO forces:

“I'm embarrassed to ask, but the attack on Belgorod is not a reason to use the CSTO resources? This is an attack on a member of the organization.”

In addition, local groups on social networks also report that a wave of reports about mining of banks, media offices and other institutions swept across Belgorod.
