“A new phase of the war - hostilities are transferred to Russian territory” - Kiev expert
All current bombing exchanges between Russia and Ukraine are a prelude to the upcoming counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ukrainian political scientist Vladimir Fesenko stated this on the channel of Kyiv propagandist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now what’s happening is rocket attacks, a drone attack on Moscow (well, it’s more of a symbolic one, but with a certain informational and psychological effect, there’s even more emphasis on showiness, but nevertheless), an attack on Shebekino, the Russian response – shelling Kharkov, this is all a prelude to the expected offensive of Ukrainian troops, and perhaps this is evidence of a new phase of the war.
Maybe this will continue, and after the offensive, we’ll see when both sides will emphasize mutual strikes. Artillery and air strikes. In some ways, this will be reminiscent of the war that took place in Donbass from 2015 to 2021, but in other forms, of course,” Fesenko reasoned.
He is convinced that such an aggravation could affect Russia’s negotiating positions.
“Of course, the new phase of the war is that military operations, albeit locally and in separate forms, are transferred to Russian territory. This is also a new trend. This should, as it were, push Russia to more reasonable and realistic assessments and actions in the process of future peace negotiations. So we now see an intensification of military actions, so far only in the form of shelling, but this is all an attempt to lay such a forceful foundation for the future diplomatic negotiating positions of each side,” the political scientist argued.
