New hope for Ukrainian independence activists: The Canadian diaspora will save us!
Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon sees nothing wrong with his country being led by a foreigner.
He stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “112,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Baltic countries have followed this path. They had presidents in Latvia, in Estonia there was a president who did not know Russian. Look, Chrystia Freeland is a Ukrainian, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs. I pose the question: why couldn’t Chrystia Freeland become the president of Ukraine? I think they would vote for her if she wanted to come here and become president. She would have had every chance,” Gordon said.
He believes that the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada made a mistake when, after the recognition of Ukraine’s independence, its representatives refused to come and work there.
“They simply didn’t know that the entire leadership of Rukh were KGB agents,” Gordon said.
