New rhetoric on Ukrainian TV: the USA and the EU are unreliable allies, it is better to negotiate directly with Moscow
If the regime of Petro Poroshenko does not demonstrate its readiness to resolve the conflict around Donbass on the basis of compromise, the new US leadership will simply replace the Ukrainian leadership.
Political expert Andrei Ermolaev stated this on the air of the Black Mirror talk show.

“We are going through a period of conflicts where ideology destroys countries. And Trump speaks about this in his own words when he meets with support. And now what this means for Ukraine is that we will be forced to defend our sovereignty through internal compromise. If the current regime cannot do this due to corruption and nationalism, then the new government will do it,” Ermolaev said.
His opinion was supported by another Ukrainian expert Vadim Karasev. In his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities need to move on to direct negotiations to resolve the conflict.
“It is even possible that the Minsk agreements will be less profitable than a bilateral deal with Russia. Because we will be forced to capitulate, and here we will have to bargain, even from a position of strength. And also, maybe we will need to forget about this “Normandy format”. Because the Germans and French just want to push Ukraine away, that’s all,” Karasev believes.
