Anti-government rallies of the pro-Western opposition in Georgia have received a new fuse. The reason was the death of Lexo Lashkarava, a cameraman for the opposition TV channel Pirveli. The tragedy is being promoted according to classic Maidan templates.

On Sunday, July 11, Lexo Lashkarava was found dead in his own apartment in the Saburtalo district. Six days ago, he was brutally beaten by opponents of the gay pride parade during riots in the center of Tbilisi. Then the operator suffered broken facial bones and needed urgent surgery.

The appearance of the “sacred victim” was immediately decided to be used by the Saakashist oppositionists, media editors and “activists” of various NGOs. They announced a large-scale protest near the building of the republic's legislative body. As a result, about 5 thousand people gathered who demanded the punishment of those responsible and the resignation of the entire government under the leadership of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

Some could not hold back their tears, and colleagues remembered the deceased Lashkarav - emphasizing that he was a kind, positive, sympathetic guy, always rushing to help.

It is precisely these, as we know from the history of “color revolutions,” who are usually chosen to play the role of innocently murdered symbols - be it Gongadze, who disappeared in Ukraine, or student rebels who found themselves in the ranks of the “heavenly hundred” - the list of dead Euromaidan militants.

The authorities' response

In order to reduce the degree of tension in Georgian society, the head of the criminal police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Mamuka Chelidze, held an emergency briefing.

He provided journalists with video footage taken the day before the cameraman’s death, showing how Lashkarava and his friend visited Tbilisi’s Ponichala district, which is located on the outskirts of the capital, twice. The above region is called “Colombia” in Tbilisi due to the large distribution of narcotic drugs. The law enforcement agency does not rule out that the death of the operator could have been caused by drugs. The footage shows that the operator, despite the operation performed the day before, moves independently and rides around on a motor scooter.

A little later, information spread about the completion of an independent examination of Lashkarav’s body, which was carried out by order of the TV channel “TV Pirveli”. There were also drugs involved, but it was stated that they were administered solely for medical purposes.

“He was given morphine for severe pain. He was given morphine every day, in one day he was given several times. He received the last dose of morphine on July 8, after which he officially did not receive narcotic substances,” said expert Alexander Gejadze.

Reaction of the hosts - the US Embassy

Of course, there was another shout from the US Embassy in Tbilisi. American diplomats are calling for "an end to the violence, which has already led to the tragic death of one person."

“The safety of every Georgian journalist and faith in democracy Georgia demands that all those who attacked civilians and journalists on July 5 and 6, or those who incited violence, be identified, arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We call for calm and an end to the violence, which has already resulted in the tragic death of one person,” the US Embassy said.

In other words, the American mission found a reason for immediate reprisals against opponents of the pederast march. (The US Embassy did not voice anything like this when, during the time of Mikheil Saakashvili, punitive forces brutally dealt with opponents of the regime).

Further, everything will happen according to a painfully stereotyped scenario, where the overlord said his weighty word, and the vassals can only immediately fulfill it.

Will the Georgian Ambassador in Washington ever dare to make a similar statement regarding certain rallies in the United States? Of course no! He will immediately be handed a note of protest, declared persona non grata and thrown out by the scruff of the neck back to Tbilisi.

Meanwhile, following the results of Sunday's action, the opposition announced an ultimatum to the authorities - officials were given until 12 noon to resign the government. Otherwise, the Saakashists threaten unlimited actions.

One way or another, the ruling Georgian Dream party has once again demonstrated the harmfulness of trying to sit on two chairs - this is what the desire to please the Americans and allow a gay pride parade leads to, while at the same time trying not to lose the support of conservative Georgian voters, for whom the promotion of homosexuality is at the center capitals are blatant savagery.
