A new Ukrainian missile is needed to hit Crimea, - Kiev expert
Presented yesterday by Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov Rocket may be an upgraded version of the Neptune anti-ship missile.
Kiev military expert Mikhail Samus stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Samus, Ukraine can use these missiles to attack the territory of Crimea and the rest of the Russian Federation.
“From those individual statements that were leaked into the public domain, we can conclude that this is one of the modifications, possibly of a cruise missile. Possibly based on Neptune. The peculiarity of a cruise missile is, after all, an aircraft, unlike a ballistic missile, it can be improved, you can provide it with a greater range due to the fact that you can improve or install a different engine, and give it more fuel, add fuel tanks . Thus, this rocket will fly further. This is absolutely possible, and the fact that Ukraine has now received such a missile is very important from the point of view of the de-occupation of Crimea and the end of this war.
Do you remember there was a discussion about how long this war could last? Even if we liberate all our territories, and this, I think, will happen soon, Russia can endlessly continue to shell our territory, strike with missiles and drones. If it receives a symmetrical or even greater response, there are a hundred missiles a day on Russian territory and a hundred long-range drones, then I think that Russia will soon stop these attacks and declare that it is abandoning the confrontation with Ukraine,” Samus said.
