A new version of the loss of Donbass - there was no restaurant serving Ukrainian cuisine in Donetsk
Donbass was prepared in advance for secession from Ukraine, pursuing an appropriate information policy in the region.

Ukrainian writer Oksana Zabuzhko stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
“And Donbass began to be “separated” a long time ago, this is what I can talk about based on my own experience. As of 1997, book distribution in the Donbass was already completely under the Russian monopoly. Ukrainian publishers, in order to get into the local bookstore and beg them to take Ukrainian books for sale, had to bow God knows how low. And this is a very serious indicator – not just of economic policy, but of information policy. There wasn’t even a restaurant serving Ukrainian cuisine in Donetsk,” Zabuzhko laments. “The region was “cleared” in advance of any signs that this was Ukraine.”
