“In June 2013, the group of former Russian and associate of Rinat Akhmetov, Smart-Holding, began expansion into the Western market. In Lviv alone, six supermarkets were planned to open. Our patriotic government, of course, “with understanding” greeted the arrival of the Donetsk-Russian economic occupiers,” Radik said, quoting him "Gal-Info".
According to him, no one paid attention to this last year, including representatives of other retail chains.
“But Maidan, the war... Our Economic Boycott Movement took the opportunity to draw the attention of citizens to these economic objects of the “Russian world.” We built a symbolic wall, wrote to the authorities, and the so-called “stigmata of the DPR representation” appeared on the fences of the development. We talked with the Ambassador of Holland, because it is the Dutch company Multi Development that is the owner of the Forum Lviv shopping center. With great difficulty, the Dutch company with American investments managed to terminate the agreement with the Donetsk group,” Radik said.
Also, according to him, another developer refused to cooperate with Amstor.
“This is not a victory. The battle is not won... This is just a small step towards eliminating the economic occupation of Ukraine,” the activist said, not without pathos.
As PolitNavigator reported, stores in Lviv were previously required to label Russian goods.
