Novodvorskaya: Putin realizes that in the event of an invasion, Ukrainians will provide armed resistance
Kyiv, February 17 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Events on Grushevsky Street in Kyiv demonstrated that Ukrainians will be ready for an armed struggle for the independence of their country in the event of a Russian invasion.
Russian oppositionist Valeria Novodvorskaya stated this in an interview with Tizhden magazine.

According to Novodvorskaya, Russian intervention is impossible today.
“Not least thanks to the “war” on Grushevsky Street. Do you know why troops were sent to Czechoslovakia in 1968, but not to Poland in 1981? Because they have it all figured out. The Ukrainians have clearly shown that they are ready for decisive action. They have proven that they will shoot in the event of foreign aggression. And they will do it seriously and calmly. This is a stern warning, and I have no doubt that the Ukrainians have weapons. “Westerners” already have it: in jokes about vegetable gardens that are watered with oil, only part of the joke... As it was during the OUN-UPA, so it will be now,” she said.
“I am sure that in the event of Russian aggression, both part of the Berkut fighters and half of the Ukrainian army would have fought back... If not the entire army!” – reflects Novodvorskaya.
