New betrayal: “Opposition bloc” colluded with Poroshenko on Donbass
The “opposition bloc” voiced an almost identical position with Petro Poroshenko on the conflict in Donbass - the Minsk agreements should be revised, the United States should be involved in the negotiations, and a paramilitary contingent, the “blue helmets,” should be introduced into the confrontation zone. This initiative was made the day before by the head of the Opposition Bloc faction, Yuriy Boyko.
Boyko’s proposals are unacceptable for the Donbass republics; moreover, such a line by the Opposition Bloc can be regarded as another betrayal of voters, Russian political scientist Oleg Bondarenko told PolitNavigator.
He drew attention to the fact that unconstructive initiatives are being voiced from Kyiv against the backdrop of the failure of the next round of contact group negotiations in Minsk.

“Once again, at yesterday’s meeting of the Minsk Contact Group, it was not possible to reach an agreement. Including, resolving the issue of paying social benefits in Donbass. Kyiv, thereby, actually disrupts the work of the economic subgroup.
Secondly, against this background one can see a number of changes in the position of Ukrainian politicians taking place, who seem to confirm that they are committed to the Minsk agreements and, at the same time, are asking the United States for weapons. They are clearly doing this not in order to accomplish anything, but in order to fight.
Particularly alarming are Yuriy Boyko’s statements that peacekeepers need to be sent to Donbass. It is especially unpleasant that statements of this kind are made not by some well-known anti-Russian politicians, but by politicians with a reputation for being conditionally pro-Russian.
When Boyko says that it is necessary to introduce “blue helmets” to the demarcation line in Donbass, he himself knows very well the position of the republics, that Donbass is against the deployment of peacekeepers. Thus, he is greatly exposing his voters,” Bondarenko said.
