New Year's reports: in Russia, firecrackers exploded inside people and cats

On New Year's Eve, a 29-year-old resident of the village of Pereyaslavka, Khabarovsk Territory, died when a festive firecracker hit him in the eye and exploded right in his head.

The man set up New Year's fireworks, but the first volley did not follow. He went to see if the firecrackers were working, and when he leaned towards the fireworks, he fired the first time and hit the man in the eye with the firecracker, after which it exploded in his head. The man died on the spot from his injuries.

In the city of Rybnoye, Ryazan region, unknown persons blew up a cat with a firecracker. This was reported by the owner of the animal in the “Typical Fish” group.

“Some scumbags made fun of my beloved cat. They put a firecracker in his mouth. I have never seen a more monstrous sight: a torn jaw, missing tongue, numerous burns...You people are animals...It was not possible to save a member of my family,” wrote Lyudmila Perevedentseva.

A sixth-grader from the Moscow region lost four fingers on his right hand after a firecracker exploded in his hand, the Mossovet news agency reports. On January 1, in Volgograd, a schoolboy who set off firecrackers lost an eye, local media reported, citing information received from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Volgograd Region. The boy was setting off firecrackers on the school grounds. In Crimea, boys from Simferopol and Bakhchisaray received eye burns, KrymPress reports.
