The two largest and richest regions of Ukraine have announced their secession from the country, there is a civil war, and the economy is steadily declining.

What was the reason? According to one version, Ukraine could not withstand the internal contradictions of the oligarchs, it was simply torn apart, and what is happening in Donbass is only the beginning of the process of collapse.

If this forecast turns out to be correct, Ukraine will face “Balkanization,” that is, fragmentation along national, religious, or economic lines. This process will take, according to various estimates, from two to five years, and the formation of the final configuration will take another 7-8 years.

The entire course of the modern history of Ukraine has inexorably brought the country to this terrible line.

It would seem that supporters of the revolution in Kyiv initially took to the Maidan, protesting against the new feudal lords, demanding lustration, fair privatization, reforms, etc.

However, instead of a revolution, there was a coup, instead of lustration, settling of scores, and instead of reforms, hysterical propaganda.

The same oligarchs have become governors, their companies are using up the budget, their private armies are carrying out massacres in the Donbass.

But the customers and performers of this bloody farce did not take into account the main thing. The fact that the use of technology of destruction has a downside, and hatred causes natural rejection.

Crimea was the first call. But in Kyiv they considered it unconvincing, and no one thought to stop the launched mechanism. Now Donbass, or already Novorossiya. And again, no conclusions in Kyiv.

But they cannot exist, because one must understand that the events in Ukraine are, in fact, the agony of an oligarchic system that is trying to survive at any cost. The radicalization of society is simply an attempt to preserve the entire structure that has been built over the years.

Is Novorossiya very different from Ukraine? In any case, the architects and ideologists of the people's republics are trying to initially correctly position the social system, seeing before them the living example of Kyiv.

“The DPR is a republic of people’s economy without oligarchy and corruption” - this slogan in Donetsk can now be seen at every step. A very correct and clearly accentuated ideologeme.

But will it work? There are several serious dangers. Firstly, the oligarchs in Donbass have not gone away; they are still monopolists in all vital spheres. And all the officials - participants in the oligarchs' schemes - are in their places.

Novorossiya has a unique chance to become a truly people's country. Will management cope? Will it take into account Kyiv’s mistakes and, most importantly, not slide back to previous business formats? There are many questions, there are even more problems, but it is necessary to use this chance. Perhaps history will not give such a second chance.
