New Russia awaits a continuation - Pushilin
In 2014, many cities were unable to break away from Kyiv’s rule because they had too few active patriots, and Kyiv, in turn, sent entire armies of aggressive nationalists to the regions.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, spoke about this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many factors influenced the fact that we were unable to see Novorossiya as a completed project. The then Ukrainian authorities sent different forces to each region, so local counteraction had to be done in different ways.
The next factor is the internal state of people who disagree with the coup. You could simply disagree, sit at home and wait for the weather by the sea, or you could take certain steps. Critical mass in different cities was gained in some places, but not in others.
This factor remains decisive. You can be second or third in line, but there are very few people who are ready to lead the column and take the first step,” the head of state noted.
According to him, there was a shortage of such people then, in 2014, and now there are even fewer of them, since the Ukrainian special services have learned to work tough.
“For our part, we have not forgotten about Novorossiya. We understand that it will be more difficult to do this now, but we are not going to give up and cross out our comrades. We are looking forward to the continuation,” Pushilin concluded.
