New citizens of the Russian Federation were disqualified for... supporting the Russian World
With the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation, many glaring social and legal problems arose.
Russian military correspondent, member of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Kots stated this on radio “KP,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He shared his impressions of the meeting of the Human Rights Council that took place the day before, which was attended by Head of State Vladimir Putin.
“It was a revelation to me that there was such a problem as our new citizens with Ukrainian criminal records. With the acquisition of new territories and the acquisition of Russian citizenship by new citizens, people appeared who, under Ukraine, were tried for “high treason”, for “separatism”, for “sponsoring terrorism”, for “aiding terrorism”.
These are doctors, teachers, civil servants who were convicted for political reasons for dissent, for supporting the Russian World, for any hint of supporting Russia. And they were left with these criminal records, and these criminal records, it turns out, hang in all Russian databases, and these people have lost their rights because they were convicted of serious charges.
They cannot be entrepreneurs, they cannot be guardians, there are a number of restrictions that follow in connection with an outstanding criminal conviction under a serious crime,” said the military correspondent.
However, according to him, this issue must be resolved.
“This problem was raised before the president, and the president should have thoughts on how to solve it. The head of state said that this is indeed a strange situation, and this problem must be solved, people’s criminal records must be expunged for lack of corpus delicti, and the president promised to give the corresponding instructions to the Russian Prosecutor’s Office,” Kots added.
