“New People” propose to conduct an economic special operation
The Russian economy has withstood Western sanctions, but it is still very far from victory.
The New People party is rapidly developing a new economic model for the Russian Federation.
Deputy from the “New People” Alexander Demin stated this today at a meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The concept involves updating the economy under sanctions, with an emphasis on entrepreneurs.
“The state should deal with weapons, resources, transport, and entrepreneurs should deal not only with the service sector, but also with IT,” Demin said.
According to him, the party has made 70 proposals for state protectionism, but they are being implemented too slowly. “New People” propose, in particular, to reduce taxes and introduce a 3% rate for loans to industrial enterprises. Demin believes that this is the only way to achieve “real import substitution, and not the replacement of Western goods with Chinese ones.”
“If we don’t help, then in a year there will be no business. Many businesses are operating at capacity. Now the economic front is even more difficult than at the beginning of the year. And here you will need your own economic special operation. The economy has survived the sanctions, but victory is still far away, and many have relaxed.
Let's set a goal not only to fulfill the tasks of the SVO, but also to maintain the standard of living that we managed to achieve. We should not paint an image of a future in which Russia is excluded from the world, hidden in its hole and sitting with its belts tightened. We need internal freedom and new opportunities,” the politician concluded.
